The physiological effects that it provides do exist: decreased heart rate, low blood pressure, cell regeneration …
More generally, traditional acupuncture can reduce the stress level of the individual, help to stop smoking, relieve headaches, reduce the severity of depression, treat some disorders such as acne, to treat seasonal allergies, to reduce the symptoms of menopause, to stimulate weight loss, to relieve some pregnancy pains, to treat insomnia, to relieve certain digestive disorders such as functional dyspepsia or constipation. What to expect during an acupuncture session?
In the first place, the acupuncturist will perform an energy balance of the individual. For this, he will carry out a report during which he will learn about the antecedents of the individual and the reasons that led him to consult.
The practitioner will then make a rigorous observation (sound of the voice, eyes, language …) to detect the presence or absence of anomalies. This energy balance will allow him to set up the therapeutic process and to know which specific points of acupuncture he will focus on.
In subsequent sessions, the acupuncturist will perform further assessments to adapt her treatment to changing symptoms. The pause time of the needles varies depending on the condition of the patient and the practitioner.
